Tuesday, November 27: Ride from Arlintgon to Quantico. Get hotel and veg out. My heart's not in the ride yet, I'm still thinking about Thanksgiving and despite the cool weather and the bike path in Arlington, it's not really too appealing. when Istarted out in the morning I went to a bike shop near Demian's apt. and got a fender for my front tire and tried to get some spare tubes, but they didn't have any presta in my size, so I just have them replace my rear tube with my last good tube. Later, in Quantico, I realize I broke a rear spoke and replace it with my kevlar spoke replacement. That pretty much decides me on getting a hotel and reevaluating my trip. TV makes me stupid. I talk to Kelsey for a bit and watch some documentary on AI about HAL from 2001.

Wednesday, Noivember 28: Ride from Quantico to Bowling Green. I stop at some Bike shop just south of Quantico by about 20 miles. I wanted to get breakfast in Quantico but by the time I left BK wasn't serving breakfast anymore, so I had to ride south to the nearest Shoney's. Breakfast is pretty good though service is slow (my server was busy with a lot of people I'll give her that) not that I minded too much, but it did get on my nerves a bit towards the end. Ride to EckaRD or RiteAid or something to find out where bike shop is - find bike shop and get spoke replaced plus new tubes. They recommend against route 1 and so I take the bike friendly path they recommend, but before I even get to route 3, my rear tube is popped by a sliver of brown bottle glass. Nice. So ten minutes out of the bike shop and I'm stripping down again to apply a field dressing to my rear tube. that goes relatively quickly and I'm back on the road and make it a good ways down the road, which while it has truckers has a decent shoulder for most of it. The riding improves, but Virginia's hills continue to be pretty unforgiving. Finally stop at KOA. Talk to Mike DaRonco for a bit and kels, and realize that the earth has rejectedme and my stakes for the tent. I pray that my tent doesn't fall around me in the night.

Thursday, November 29: Ride from KOA to breakfast and then to RiteAid to get Washpost then to library for too many hours. Leave and get to Dawn, then to King Williams on no shouldered crappy truck route tweny miles norht of West Point. Stay with random people whose dogs have mange.

Friday, November 30: Ride from King William and stopped by cops - get to Williamsburg and eat at deli where I get map and directions to ferry from Hampton to Norfolk. Make it there by 5PM and leave on 6PM ferry. Picked up by Mrs. Llera at the Nauticus.

Saturday, December 1: Ride bike on 6 mile bike path and back a bit - Go to Marine Science and see galapgos 3d - see Spy Game later on as my chance to see the quilt opening has evaporated.
