Tuesday, September 18: Clear skies and great riding weather. Highs in the mid seventies. Marty Campbell, Tom Campbell, Steve Lougheed and I rode from Evanston to Buckingham fountain. Marty, Tom and I continued south to the end of the lake path. Then Marty and I hugged the lake as we made our way to Indiana and stayed the night in a America's Best $24.99 a night motel in Hammond. Total miles: ~40

Wednesday, September 19: Still drizzling form the night before, we made our way along 20 to 12 (the dunes) until we stopped for a nap, and then got a bit further and camped for the night. Total miles ~30.

Thursday, September 20: Clear skies and a beautiful ride. Got back on 20 early in the AM and skirted Michigan City until we split to 2. Took that stright through to South Bend. Had our bikes looked at, met the mayor and ate Thai with Jodi. Spent the night talking with Jodi at her apartment. Jodi's the best; thanks, Jodi. Total miles ~35.

Friday September 21: Cooler and cloudy with scattered showers, turning to sunshine and another great day. Jodi totally beat us out of door. We packed up and went to breakfast lateish, trying to wait out the rain. I got the Texas-style french toast and Marty got the salmon-cake. Kept going east on Lincoln Way until we jogged down to Mishawaka(?) and took that to Elkhart and went through to 20 and made our way to Middlebury where we had lunch/dinner with our cousin Becky and her son Christopher and her daughter Kayla. Went to a soccer game that night adn Marty and I were then whisked away from the game by Kelsey and we all three drove out to Lansing Michigan to chill out for a few days. Total miles: ~35.

Saturday, September 22: Late breakfast. Hang out. I went to wedding. Come back and finished Dick with Marty. Bed. Total miles: 0.

Sunday, September 23: Hung with Kelsey until she left @4PM. Did computer mp3 stuffs and then went to Pamela's birthday party. Figured out good route with Travis.

Monday September 24: Up early for long ride to Ann Arbor. Despite flat tire and rolling hills we made it there by five. Napped and then got dinner with cousin Lindsay and her step sister, Alison and Amer's Sandwich Shop in downtown Ann Arbor. Home to bed. Total miles ~65.
